Daily Scripture Reading:
Monday, May 9: Exodus 1
What was happening in the world that was fear producing for the Israelites? What does this tell us about the world we live in? How did the Israelite midwives follow God in the face of fear? In what ways might God be calling you to "fear God instead of fearing people?"
Tuesday, May 10: Exodus 2
Why did Moses become afraid? What was his response to this fear? What does Moses' reaction teach us about humanity?
Wednesday, May 11: Exodus 3
Describe Moses' response to God's call. What fears do you see? What fears of Moses do you resonate with? How did God respond to Moses' fearful questions? How can these statements from God to Moses be applied to you?
Thursday, May 12: Exodus 4
Continue to consider Moses' fears and God's response. What finally caused Moses to step out in faith rather than shrink back in fear? What has God provided for us to enable us to step out in faith?
Friday, May 13: Psalm 91
Moses wrote this Psalm years after he obeyed God in the face of his fears. How would you describe his attitude at this point in his life? Rewrite in your own words what it means to "dwell in the shelter of the Most High and abide in the shadow of the Almighty."
