Ways to Connect at BeFree Barrington

We believe that a life of growth happens in the context of Christian community. That’s why we provide many opportunities to connect with others at BeFree Barrington. We hope you take advantage of the different ways listed here in which you can participate as a part of our church family.

Communication Card

Are you new to our in-person gatherings or livestream? Do you have a prayer request? Do you want to get connected with a small group? Fill out our electronic communication card with as much or as little information as you'd like. The form is automatically delivered to our office inbox where someone will connect with you.

  • We are a church family of different ages, backgrounds, and perspectives who have decided to follow Jesus together. We don’t pretend to have everything figured out, or to have perfect lives, but we do have a shared experience of God’s grace and love in Jesus Christ. We are trying to serve one another, our communities, and places of need in this world. We would love to meet you.

Our Sunday gathering is an upbeat celebration of God involving songs, prayer, and fellowship. The Bible gets explained and applied to life. And we drink coffee.

Child care is available for infant through grade 4 with age-appropriate activities.

  • What is DIG?

Delighting in God (DIG) is our children's ministry that provides an active and fun time at the kid level with Bible teaching, songs, games, and crafts.

When is DIG? What ages is DIG for?

Children ages 5 through fourth grade are released after the first worship songs to attend DIG on the lower level.

What will the children be doing?

During DIG, children will engage with God’s Word by singing songs, reading and talking about Bible stories or story books that illustrate biblical concepts, playing games, and doing related activities or crafts. Scripture memorization is encouraged through songs and through activities during DIG lessons.

Want your child to participate in DIG? Fill out our online registration form.

  • Youth Group (7th-12th grade)

Our high school youth group is an opportunity for students to come hear the good news of Jesus Christ and create community through games, discussion, and events! Our goal is to meet most Sunday evenings with larger events once a month.

  • We are a community of 20-somethings encouraging one another in life and faith. On Monday nights, we meet together over a potluck meal to chat, eat good food, and share in life's ups and downs. We also plan monthly activities like beach bonfires, bowling, and trips to the movies.

This group is welcome to anyone no matter where you are at in life.

    If interested, email us.

  • BeFree MomCo (formerly MOPS) encourages and equips moms of young children to realize their potential as mothers, women and leaders, in relationship with Jesus, and in partnership with the local church. We offer breakfast and coffee at our MomCo Meetups, KidsCo childcare, speakers and discussion groups, devotionals, mentoring, playdates and Mom's Nights Out, and much more!

For more information, email the MomCo Coordinators.

  • The Seniors Ministry connects and cares for those who are living in this wonderful season of life. Whether you attend our breakfasts or need some help or prayer, we hope to serve you through a group of friends who will know your name, celebrate your life, and be there for you.

For more information about the team and how we can serve you or someone you know, contact team coordinators Donna Robinson, Denise Lussier, or Becky Thurston via the group’s email.

  • BeFree Groups provide an environment for us to experience the fellowship of God and to grow in our following of Jesus Christ, which results in our loving God and others more than we otherwise would. Whether you’re looking for a men’s, women’s, or mixed group, we have multiple options that meet during the week as well as Sunday mornings.

If you are interested in connecting with a group, email Chris Clinch.
