Ways to Connect at BeFree Somersworth

We believe that a life of growth happens in the context of Christian community. That’s why we provide many opportunities to connect with others at BeFree Somersworth. We hope we can partner together, serve and grow deeper in relationship as a part of our church family.

  • Join us Sunday mornings at 10am at 47 Washington Street, Somersworth, NH. We are nestled into the corner of a small plaza within the downtown.

Each Sunday, our church family gathers together for a time of fellowship, worship, prayer, and real-life Bible application. Come early, stay late, meet new people, and share your table.

We offer three kid ministry options on Sunday mornings:

    • Child Care (ages 0-4) - Parents are welcome to bring children to our nursery for the second half of our worship gathering. We believe family is key in all aspects of worship and discipleship, so we stay together and connect during our initial time of worship. After our time of singing, kids are welcome to leave to receive an age-appropriate lesson during the teaching portion of our worship gathering. Your little ones will be in good hands with our trusted and background-checked volunteers.

    • DIG (ages 4-5th grade) - As the service ends, we invite parents and students to stay and connect for Delighting in God (DIG). Students spend time singing, creating, and learning more of what it is to follow Jesus.

    • Wavewalkers (ages 10-14) - Similar to DIG, older students are also invited to stay and connect. This is a specific time of relationship-building and discipleship that allows young minds to ask hard questions be challenged in God’s Word and connect with one another.

  • Home Groups or Family Tables are our main place of connection and growth where deeper relationships in our church family are established.

We believe that joining a home group is the best way for someone to connect to the life of the church. We believe that the Gospel moves at the speed of relationships. In God’s community, we are implored to operate in community, and we embrace this through the regular rhythm of Family Table. We embrace the highs and lows of life. We chat together, we eat together, and we are present with each other.

If you are interested in joining us, email Tim Monahan to get connected.

  • Youth Group (7th-12th grade)

Our high school youth group is an opportunity for students to come hear the good news of Jesus Christ and create community through games, discussion, and events! We meet Sunday evenings with larger events once a month.

As a part of our vision of ministering together, the Barrington and Somersworth locations are linked together to create this opportunity for growing in Christ together. As partners in ministry, our students are deeply connected with one another and love seeing the bigger picture—how God is bigger than any one location.

  • Men’s Ministry - Our men's ministry seeks to encourage men to build a relationship with God and with one another by offering multiple types of gatherings. Every Friday at 6:30am, we have men’s prayer and study together at the church.

Women’s Ministry - Our women's ministry seeks to give women an opportunity to connect with one another and with Jesus through the study of God’s word as well as through occasional events.

  • “And they devoted themselves to prayer” Acts 2:42

As a fundamental aspect, we believe prayer is one of the most powerful acts we can do as the body of Christ. On the second Wednesday of each month, a core group gathers together to pray for our community, our church, and for each other.

If God has given you a heart to pray, we invite you to join us on the second Wednesday each month at 7pm.

Contact Tim Monahan if you’re interested.
